Scope

This policy applies to the Job Timer iOS app and any related web services operated by SheetGenius, Inc.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and password (hashed).
• Authentication tokens: stored on your device's secure storage and transmitted over HTTPS to access the API.
• Time and project data: clock-in/clock-out times, project membership, hourly rate snapshots, and optional edit reasons (for admins).
• Support communications: messages you send us (including email and attachments).
• Device and usage: basic technical data such as device model, OS version, and IP address captured in server logs for reliability and security.

Location

Job Timer may request optional location permissions to power geofencing reminders. When enabled, your device uses location locally to trigger on-device reminders. We do not store or transmit your precise location to our servers.

How we use information

• Provide and improve Job Timer features (time tracking, project management, admin tools).
• Authenticate users and secure the service.
• Provide customer support and communicate about service updates.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that process it on our behalf to operate Job Timer (for example, cloud infrastructure and email delivery). These providers are bound by confidentiality and security obligations.

Retention

Account and time entry data are retained while your account is active. You or an administrator can delete certain records; we may retain limited records as required by law, to prevent abuse, or to comply with backups and auditing.

Security

We use industry-standard protections including HTTPS in transit and secure storage of authentication tokens. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

Job Timer is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. We will update the "Last updated" date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice.
